Scintillante, iridescente d'une fraiche pâleur
Au loin , il y avait une étoile; annonciatrice d'un inconnu
Puis vînt une autre étoile, celle ci nous disant un passé
Puis, cinq, puis cent; le firmament ne fût dés lors que lueur
Transcendant chaque vie, chaque mémoire, ravivant
Enfin l'obscur; devînt chaleur
